"What the rest of us dream, Olivier Pojzman creates. His sense of subtle grandeur in capturing a place and moment has a way of evoking faded memories of our favorite smells, sounds, sights and feelings. He paints panoramas with a photographic lens, piecing together a perspective that walks that peculiar line between looking foreign and feeling right at home.
Trained in art and design and originally from Paris, Pojzman came to America more than 15 years ago. His education and training does not entirely tell the tale, however. This is an artist who spent years working odd jobs as a mechanic, or bank employee, always dreaming of a time when he could be free to do what he truly loved. His story tells of the passion of the human spirit.
Pojzman found success as a commercial and celebrity photographer, working with prestigious clients like Yves Saint Laurent, Prince Albert of Monaco, and Paris Hilton; and corporate clients like Apple, Sony, and British Petroleum. That successful career took him around the world, traveling to more than 30 countries; but it was at his home in Venice, California that he created his trademark IrisWork method for fine art photography.
Anyone can see Pojzman’s fine art in galleries in Malibu, Palm Desert, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Studio City and Miami; as well as Santa Monica resorts Casa Del Mar and Shutters on the Beach, the French Consulate of Los Angeles, and the highly acclaimed Los Angeles restaurants Church & State (Downtown) and Joe’s in Venice.
“The world is a beautiful place, its beauty needs to be recorded and shared with others. Being at the right place, at the right time is essential”
- Olivier Pojzman -
