Joe’s restaurant dedicates its monthly event to the French community on September 23 with the exhibition of Olivier Pojzman’s work. Photography, French wine and fresh oysters.

Joe’s restaurant “Fine Californian-French cuisine” in Venice Beach is proud to present the work of local Artist Olivier Pojzman.

Once a month, a very friendly event is held where wine and great appetizers are offered. Please come and enjoy Art, good wine and great company at the next September event. This next event will be held for the French community of Los Angeles.

For this special occasion, fresh oysters from Christophe “Maitre ecailler” will be served at the event.

Olivier Pojzman Panoramic photography accommodates various areas in residential and office environments. Its esthetic nature captures the viewer and brings life to open spaces. These horizontal and vertical conceptual series create a “New Cool” mix of Fine Art and High End Decor.

For compacted or ample space, Olivier custom makes pieces from 4 to 15 feet long on stretched canvas. Limited edition of 50, signed and certified.

In September 1991, a small restaurant on the edge of an esoteric neighborhood in Venice, California, opened to rave reviews. Utilizing the talents and experience acquired from his training at the Culinary Institute of America, from cooking at such restaurants as Le Perroquet in Chicago, L’Orangerie here in Los Angeles, and from Michel Guérard in France at Eugenie-Les-Bains.

Chef Miller, a visionary in the kitchen, says the secret of Joe’s cuisine is the result of mixing formal French techniques with Asian and California-influenced esthetics and by using only the best ingredients. In addition to frequenting local farmer’s markets, Miller, searches out regional items from around the country and even around the world. He is constantly looking for new trends and influences in cuisine that he could recreate in his kitchen.

Silent Auction to benefit
the Alliance Francaise / Feb 27, 2009

Silent Auction to benefit <br />the Alliance Francaise Image

The Alliance Française (AF) is an organisation whose mission is to promote French language and culture outside France. Its primary concern is teaching French as a second language.

The Alliance was created in Paris on 21 July 1883 by a group of eminent men, including the scientist Louis Pasteur, the diplomat Ferdinand de Lesseps, the writers Jules Verne and Ernest Renan, and the publisher Armand Colin.

It finances most of its activities from the fees it receives from its courses and from rental of its installations. Unfortunately, the hard times have affected them as well as many.

Being the proud father of an American young lady with french heritage I thought it would be a good idea to help them go over this hurdle and keep them alive to promote a culture I cherish.

A silent auction will be held in their offices on February 27th. Artists Guillaume TunziniLili Rahmati and myself will showcase our work in their facilities and proceeds of the sales will benefit the Alliance.

CELEBRITY & FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHER OLIVIER POJZMAN’S PANORAMIC PHOTOS FEATURED IN OPENING CELEBRATION FOR SUNSET STRIP’S NEW LURIE GALLERY

(Los Angeles, CA January 21, 2009) — After traveling throughout the Western region of the United States to capture new images and create fresh artwork, celebrity photographer Olivier Pojzman (www.IrisWork.com) will reveal his newest forced perspective fine art photography at the brand new Lurie Gallery Los Angeles (www.luriegalleries.com).  Although Pojzman has shot the likes of Paris Hilton and Queen Latifah and created images for corporate clients such as Apple, Sky Vodka and Starbucks Coffee, his true passion lies within fine art photography. The exhibition opens with a reception on Saturday, February 7, from 7-10 pm at the Lurie Gallery Los Angeles, located at 8570 Sunset Boulevard, 90210. Unlike traditional landscape imagery, Pojzman’s innovative technique uses forced perspective to stretch the 180-degree capacity of the human field of sight to a minimum of 250 degrees. This opening celebration for the new Lurie Gallery Los Angeles will also feature the work of two other artists, contemporary painter Daniel Maltzman (www.danielmaltzman.com) and Australian born Bernard Dunaux (www.dunaux.com).
